Reasons Why I love my husband:

Reason #276

I introduced him to dooce.com thinking that he would read one post, roll his eyes & give me a pity laugh. Nope, he's actually reading back posts, and sending me quotes over IM. Too funny. I love that he thinks dooce is as brilliant as I do.

Doesn't that just suck the coolness right out of ya?

I'm feeling pretty good about my day. Just finished my breakfast. I go to fling my hair off of my shoulder, when my hand brushes something wet on my shirt. ummm...yeah, hi, it's oatmeal! Not my son's oatmeal, MY oatmeal! When did I forget how to eat? I'm such an ass.

You're my boy, blue!!

I've been playing around with Roxio Easy DVD & CD creator & I'm hooked! I love making slideshows of my sweet baby boy: Image Hosted by <a href=www.glowfoto.com" border=0 />

Looking at pictures of him never gets tiring for me, but for some reason watching them fade and transition into video clips with Norah Jones playing in the background really gets to me. I could watch it over and over again. I can't believe how much he's grown & changed! Sometimes I question whether we should have more kids b/c I'm so afraid of missing one moment of this boy's life. aaaaahh, I just love that silly, stinky bear. who wouldn't?

What Person or Group, Rick? What Person or Group?

Have you ever done this?

I get into my car and the radio is still on from this morning. I am deep in thought about something trivial, but I notice the song that was on. I rolled my eyes & sighed b/c I'm thinking "ugh, I hate this song" as if I have NO control over the radio. It's a good 60 seconds into "You" by Candlebox, when I realize, AHA! I can change the channel! I change it to 98.9-Doc B's mix of old school rap-ahhhhhhhhh.

It was an old song by Kid n Play-by the way.

My Bio: The long story-By Margaret Mary

I guess I'll start with a little bit about myself. My name is Margaret Mary, yes, both names. If I wanted to be called Margaret, I'd say "My name is Margaret." I grew up in Northeast Philadelphia, where I went 12 years of Catholic School, 4 of which were at St. Hubert's Catholic School for Girls.
After I graduated, I worked for a year in a small company, then went on to Temple University. Well, I was enrolled there, I didn't attend class too often. I worked 30 hours a week as a waitress, so instead of going to class, I went shopping. After being put on Academic probation, I decided to go to beauty school because 1) my mom was the director of one & I would go for free & 2) I thought it would be a fun way to make extra money when I decided to go back to College. Big mistake. I finished school, got my license and worked in a nice salon in the suburbs (they are rare, I know, but they do exist). After 3 years, I finally admitted to myself that I hated that so I applied for a temporary position at Prudential Ins. Company. I had no experience using the fancy new computers with their "windows" and all, but I knew I could learn fast.
That was the single most important decision I ever made in my whole life! While I was in training at Pru (as we lovingly refer to that place as) I met this really funny guy named Kelly. I was dating someone at the time who was successfully brushing me off and I knew it, so I thought to myself, "this Kelly fella seems like a fun guy to hang out with." We became friends and chatted over e-mail for a few months before he asked me out. I kept resisting because I had broken up with What's his name? But after time, he wore me down & I agreed to date him. We hit is off imediately & 6 mos. later, we moved in together.
While living in the basement "apartment" of a family friend of Kelly's with both of our dogs, Linus & Sping, Kelly and I decided to buy our first house. Well, it's more accurate to say a mortgage company took pity on us and "decided" to give us a loan. Three weeks before we were set to move in, Kelly asked me to be his wife while we were camping in the Poconos. Officially engaged, we moved into our new townhome in Sept. 1999. We were married on December 1, 2000.
After living way out in the country for 2 years, we decided to go for a single home a little closer to civilization. We built a nice single colonial in Collegeville, Pa, and moved in Aug. of 2002. A year later in September of 2003, and after only 2 months of trying, we found out we were pregnant with our first baby. We were so excited, anticipating this new chapter of our life. After a very uneventful pregnancy (thank you, God)Griffin Stackhouse was born on May 24, 2004. He is the apple of both of our eyes. He is everything to us. Right now, obviously, my life revolves around that 20 pound chunk a lunk, so guess what my posts will be about.
